About the Home Practice Series membership

This membership gives you access to the Home Practice Series and to Live Classes via Zoom.  The Home Practice Series is collection of classes taught live each week then re-recorded with video from 2 different angles. Each week I teach to a small group of students at my home in Los Angele's, record the audio then make a new video. New classes are uploaded are every week.  Live Classes via Zoom are: Wednesdays 9:30-11am & Saturdays 10-11:30am PST I am really enjoying this project and being my own student for each class. I feel it has helped me a lot both as teacher and student. I hope you enjoy these classes too and that they benefit you in many positive ways.

What style is this Yoga practice?

I teach & practice Forrest Yoga since 2002. I am still growing as a teacher, student, and always learning more how to help others through this practice. There is no set sequence, so every class is different. All classes follow this basic outline. Opening breath work and setting of class intent, warm-up poses, abdominals, movement - suns/B-series vignettes, apex, warm down, savasana- the final resting pose.  Forrest Yoga was developed by Ana Forrest during the 1970-1980's as a way to heal herself from a crippled spine, drug addiction, & eating disorders. At the heart of Forrest Yoga is healing and developing tools through yoga to live a life embodied by your spirit and bio-mechanical wizardry.

What props are needed for class?

You only need 1 block & 1 strap and occasionally a rolled up towel or blanket.  I always have 3 yoga blocks, a strap and a blanket close by. I like to modify poses and often approach poses at only %30 depth which makes the blocks very useful. Alternatively, if you have no yoga props, you can replace your blocks with sturdy objects like a bench or chair for balancing, a rolled up towel for squeezing, and a long belt or piece of rope as a yoga strap.

Ready to start training?

Let's go!! You are a unique composition of biomechanical strength & compensation, structural stress, and nervous system flux. These practices are explorations of these playgrounds to create resiliency.
