1. Gold & Gemstone Mining - Eyes Shut - Journey into Earthly Cave - Twists & Sidebends
This practice we shut our eyes and went on a journey to the Earthly Cave realm within. Our focus was honed in on a Giant Pearl in our biomechanical center, encrusted gemstones within our tight spots, and fine-tuned delicate archaeologically excavated in the ribcage. Physically we explored twists, side bends, and unique angles under our shoulder blades and ribcage. This class was a fun deeply visual journey inside that left me feeling super balanced in my body and the left and right hemispheres of my brain. I hope you enjoy! Class was taught on August 29, 2026.
2. Unlocking New Flavors - Each Pose a New Plate - Connoisseurs of Taste - Quads & Hip Flexors
I really loved this class! It was light-hearted and fun but also deep in beautiful way. I think of this style of class as a Synesthesia Class, where we shut our eyes and use metaphors to merge and blend our senses. In this class we explored taste and imagined every pose as a new dish that we are both preparing and tasting. We push too hard then we burn the dish and when we dull out we have a tasteless dish. Physically this class explored our quads and hip flexors and moving energy between Legs, Pelvis and Spine. I wanted a change from the standard B-Series Vignettes so we did single pose Sun Variations to warm up and explore the Psoas and Hip Flexors. Our apex reach peak flavor in Chair Pose on the Wall, Lunges on the Wall, and Bridge Pose on a Block with Half Varasana. I hope you enjoy this class! This class was taught on August 26, 2026.
3. Celestial & Earthly Consciousness - Prepping our Body for Up-taking Good Things in Life - Hips & Sidebends
This class had a deep theme and an up-lifting practice. We explored two themes - one was based on a statement from my Bodywork mentor that came to mind earlier in day, "most people do not uptake the herbs, vitamins, love, etc available to them because they are not "lit-up" within their meridian system. Or rather they are disconnected from feeling the majesty of their own digestive, nervous, muscular, & all systems of their body, which prevents them from accessing the majesty inside herbs, vitamins, love, etc. It's kind of like, eating food or talking with a friend while scrolling through your phone. The experience of eating and connecting get so muted in comparison to what happens when we are fully present in the experience. The second theme was a vision during Alternate Nostril Breathing over there being a Celestial pool in our brain that we draw breath like a waterfall up into and then be still in that lake. During the exhale, the breath is released like a stream of water into a second pool beneath our naval that represents Earthly Consciousness. Each inhale and exhale was moving of breath and attention between these pools. Physically the practice was a super fun hip and sideband practice where we apexed with Inchworm and Inchworm downlevels, Lounge Lizard, and Frog Belly Down. I hope you enjoy!! Class was taught on August 22, 2026.
4. Caterpillar in Grandma's Knit Sweater - Unrestricted Breath, Twists, & Sidebends
I was stung by a bee before this class. I put my foot into my shoe and got stung on the big joint beneath my big toe. It was the first thing that happened to me when I woke up and went outside. I thought for sure bee would be apart of that day's class theme, but when I shut my eyes, all I saw was caterpillar. There is something about the way a caterpillar moves it's body that teaches me how to breath inside my body's twists and rotations. Also, grandma's knit sweater and blanket appeared. Specifically the phenomenon of a snag in the sweater and when you pull harder, it makes it worse. To get the snag out, you have to stop pulling and reduce the tension to free the snag. We used this analogy to represent our "sticky tight spots" and instead of forcing stretch into those areas, we backed off and moved our breath slow and deep like a caterpillar's movements. This class had many twists and sidebands. That was our focus and our apex was the beautiful supported balancing pose of Twisting Half-Moon on the Wall with a Block. This class was taught on August 19, 2026
5. The Petulant Child and the Crocheted Blanket - Backbends - Smoothing out Bitchy Snags
This class began with 2 separate visions. The first was of a petulant (bitchy) child who did not want to get on board. The second vision was of an old Knit sweater that had a snag in it. The class was about coaxing the petulant/bitchy parts of ourselves to get on board and by becoming aware that the harder you pull on a sweater snag, the worse it gets. Tight, tweaky, or bitchy spots became our snag and instead of pulling hard our practice was about backing off and creating a supportive environment for the bitchy snag to unwind. I really liked having a quick Inversion and Chest-Opener on the Wall break in between the Abs and the B-Series. We had several apex opportunities in Wave Dancer and Sphynx over a Roll, Camel Pose, and or Wheel Pose. I hope you enjoy and can coax all your bitchy parts to get on board! This class was taught on August 15, 2026.
